Competitors from the Philippines and Asia Pacific are ready to sail from Subic to the resort island, Boracay. It consists of four days of racing from Feb. 22-25.
Boracay is recognized as the best regatta spot by contenders around Asia Pacific. This four days event will consist of two days of windward courses and two days round-the-island courses. So, expect a very challenging competition on the Boracay Cup especially that Frank Pong of Hong Kong will return to the Philippines with his award-winning Reichel Pugh 76-fott yacht to set a new record. This is going to be a very exhilarating event this summer.
The event is organized by Saturday Afternoon Gentleman Sailors and Lighthouse Marina with the support of Fairways and Bluewater, Boracay Terraces, San Miguel Corp, Discovery Shores, Tanduay Rhum, Watercraft Ventures, Stradcom and Zest Air.
After the four hard days on the water, the resort island is the best place to celebrate, party and relax. I’m sure the guests and tourist won’t miss the big event this summer and whoever wins will still enjoy the beautiful island.
