Some people can’t even believe that there is really a place called “Atlantis”. So how would it have another Atlantis in the 22nd Century” and where would it take place?
According to Plato’s story taken from his book Timaeus and Critias, Atlantis was a naval power located in front of the “Pillars of Hercules” that defeated many parts of Western Europe and Africa. It happened approximately 9600 BC years ago. Atlantis submerged into the ocean “in a single day and night of misfortune after the failure to invade Athens. Some people argue that Plato was inspired by older traditions. According to some historians, Plato drew upon memories of past events like the Thera eruption or the Trojan War.
There are historians, writers and humanist who rediscovered the story of Atlantis like Francis Bacon who wrote the “New Atlantis” in 1627 where his book says that Atlantis is located off the western coast of America. Another version from Olaus Rudbeck who wrote the “Atland” in 1679 proved that Sweden is the Atlantis. Mesoamerican scholars, Charles Etienned Brassuer de Bourboug, Edward Herbert Thompson and Augustus Le Plongeon proposed that Atlantis took place in Mayan and Aztec culture.
There are too many versions of Atlantis which people don’t know which one to believe on. Others say that Atlantis were the combined story of the lost continent, Mu and Lemuria. In 1872, Oera Linda claimed that the lost island took place on Noah’s flood. Some people believe Atlantis is located in Mediterranean Sea, South Africa, the lost island of India and too many to mention. And recently in the Philippine local television, a Filipino purported the location of the Atlantis where he’s the only one knows where to find the lost island. He describes Atlantis as a city submerged in the southern part of the Philippines.
In my opinion, no one has enough evidence to prove the location of Atlantis. Since this is part of the past, we may still learn from it and use the idea to check if the story of Atlantis is somehow related to the current events happening. However, another island would possibly submerge in the 22nd century.
Through the years, the world would have big changes from the environment, people and lifestyle. Due to the global warming, the ice dissolves from the peak of the mountain all over the world. The water melts down to the sea which make the water-level rises up. There would also have major calamities that would come out and engrave in the world history. Due to the bad incidents, an island would sink under to continue the life on Earth.
So, what is this island? The island will be called “The Philintis”. The Philintis will be lost but no one can locate where to find the island. The people there would live on the big island and continue to do business, a country with government and a normal lifestyle. How can you imagine living a normal life under the sea?
As the incident happens, of course it is not easy to adopt the big changes as there are many living things would die because they can’t breathe under the water. Somehow there are living things would luckily be saved. The island takes place protected by a transparent shield that one can get out of the big island. Once it takes place already living things including human beings, plants and animals can now breathe under the sea. People has nothing to choose but to live a normal life as some people would say it is another chance for them to continue their life.
